where do i go to find out how much i can get, and how to get it. i need about 7-10 thousand for the semester. any info will help this is for a school project. the grant needs to be for my first year in college. it will be for csun. thank you God bless
Well, first of all, any student loans you get outside of the ones that your college recommends, you will need a co-signer for. There are several sites that offer student loans, ones such as:
-
-http://www.estudentloan.com/
… and the list goes on. These loans generally have high interest rates and can be hard to pay back, even though they say otherwise.
You can also check with your local institutions and see what kind of loans that they offer. ( i.e. banks, loan departments, etc..) They might have some better information on what you will need for education.
On top of the the loans, which normally they will not go any higher than $3,ooo per semester, you can apply for Federal Student Aid. There you can get a pell grant to make up for the rest of the tuition. The max you can get in a pell grant is $2,025 per semester. ( that is if you are over 25, or have kids, or if you are married and do not live with your parents.) I know its a long list, but you would be surprised at how many people get it due to those facts.

That is the site that you can view to apply for student aid.
I hope this has helped. Good luck.
