I want to return to college and my student loan is in default. I’m looking for a federal grant to repay my student loan so I can continue my education

I would work for a while in order that you might mature. You are saying: “my student loan is in default.” That tells a neutral observer that you dont accept responsibility for your own mistatkes. You failed to service the student loan. Not “it is in default.” Self talk is the best indicator of what your motivation level is. Right now, you need to grow up before taking on additional debt.
